The best way to get to know Budapest is to engage in the daily life of a city that is elegant, beautiful and unusual. You might spend a morning at the public baths or stroll down Andrassy Ter, Hungary's central tree-lined boulevard or stop at one of the many cafes on Liszt Ferenc Ter for Hungarian torte and coffee. Walking through Budapest's districts allows you to admire the architecture, the history and the grandeur of my lovely hometown.

Free internet in Budapest

These days, people are travelling with their laptops more and more often. I'm one of those people and I'm always on the lookout for places with free WiFi. There are quite a few in Budapest. My favourite is a cafe on a popular strip of restaurants - the music is modern, the waiters are friendly, the food is hearty Hungarian, the decor is decidedly seventies, the beer is cold and the wireless internet is totally free. It is a great place to come, relax, eat and hook up with home - so much better than sitting in a stuffy internet cafe.
